This is a new beauty space located at Amorepacific’s world headquarters, where visitors can comfortably experience the brand’s iconic products and be the first
to discover newly launched items. The open lounge connected to the store serves as an expanded beauty lounge with a more relaxed makeup area. Alongside various
brand activities and programs, the space is designed to allow visitors to touch up their makeup, take photos, and spend time freely during their visit to the headquarters.
Concept
Designed to reflect Amorepacific’s values of sustainability, the space features furniture reimagined from “museum crates” originally
used to transport artworks at the Amorepacific Museum of Art—delivering a bold and meaningful message from the center of the space.
In collaboration with environmentally conscious artists, we explored new uses for materials often discarded in daily life—such as
upcycled mask furniture and modular units developed from food waste—to implement a sustainable approach to the retail environment.
APMA ‘Museum Crate’ Island
Furniture created by repurposing the actual crates
once used to transport artworks at the Amorepacific Museum of Art,
delivering a meaningful message of sustainability.
Through collaborations with environmentally conscious emerging artists, we created a sustainable retail environment featuring units developed from food waste such as eggshells and oyster shells, vases and lighting pieces upcycled from discarded vinyl, and recycled acrylic objects. We also dedicated a space to showcase Amorepacific’s sustainable values—introducing products that are cruelty-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, certified for eco-friendly manufacturing processes, or designed with reduced plastic usage.
The Amore Store is designed to foster open and comfortable communication with customers by opening up staff areas and incorporating low POS tables and seating, allowing for relaxed conversations and a pleasant shopping experience. The store’s exterior space is also planned to serve as a lounge, offering a place for customers to actively engage with the brand through diverse activities and product experiences.
“Our goal is to create a space where visitors to Amorepacific’s Global Headquarters can feel both familiar and intrigued—somewhere they can comfortably stop by and enjoy a unique Amorepacific beauty experience.”
The open lounge connected to the store has been expanded into a comfortable beauty space. In addition to hosting various brand activities and programs, it will offer visitors to the global headquarters a place to touch up their makeup, take photos, and relax freely.
Each month, the space introduces the latest product experiences. In March, guests can explore the newly launched customized skincare brand ‘custom.me,’ and try ‘Base Picker byME’—a service that allows users to measure their skin tone and order a custom foundation tailored to their preferred color and texture.
Tables and stools by artist Kim Haneul,
upcycled from discarded mask fabric, have been placed for customers to sit on and use freely.
The uniforms worn by our staff are
made from fabric recycled from plastic waste.
Designed in layered black, they reflect both the store’s unique
atmosphere and a professional image.
“To offer visual enjoyment, we placed various forms of
mirrors—symbolizing beauty—throughout the space. These
mirrors invite visitors to touch up their makeup,
take photos, and enjoy a space where they can linger freely.”
