Creating long-take pop-up VMD content with AI
Summary
We utilized generative AI to create VMD content for the Longtake pop-up store.
In this project, AI was applied in two main areas: idea planning and cost reduction.
At the Ananti Eternal Journey pop-up, which reinterprets the brand’s identity of forest and scent within a bookstore setting, we explored AI-driven experiential ideas to express this new spatial experience.
Additionally, AI was used in the production of scent-based bookmarks and fragrance ingredient videos, significantly reducing both production time and costs for filming and VMD creation.
Background & Process
The Ananti Eternal Journey pop-up took place inside a bookstore, presenting a unique opportunity to connect the brand’s forest-inspired identity with a scent-centered experience.
Using ChatGPT and Perplexity, we developed ideas for book curation and designed AI-generated bookmarks—which doubled as scent testers—through Stable Diffusion and Photoshop AI.
Chat GPT
Used to set the overall planning direction and generate creative ideas.
While it provided diverse suggestions, factual accuracy for specific book recommendations was limited.
Perplexity
Supplemented this by delivering accurate, source-based book data, interviews, and excerpts, allowing for practical real-world use.
Stable Diffusion & Photoshop AI
Used to generate images for the scent bookmarks.
Natural mood-based visuals like forests and wood textures were easy to create, while specific botanical ingredients required additional accuracy checks.
Output
Final AI-generated bookmark designs were printed with ingredient names and used on-site as scent test materials.
Visitors could spray and experience fragrances directly, alongside curated content from Kinfolk Garden, creating a sensory storytelling experience.

Background & Process
For the upcoming Hair Oil AD pop-up, we produced AI-generated ingredient introduction videos.
Because the pop-up’s spatial layout prioritized product display over raw ingredient exposure, we created AI-based videos to visualize the concept of “scent you can see” within limited space and budget.
Tools Used: ChatGPT, Midjourney, Magnific, Photoshop AI, Hailuo, Mix Audio
Chat GPT
Assisted in building a mood board and video structure, refining the fragrance descriptions for subtitle integration.
Midjourney
Generated realistic visuals of raw ingredients (e.g., sandalwood, black tea, fig) with controlled tone consistency.
Prompts like “morning sunlight” for Sandalwood and “evening light, autumn” for Black Tea & Fig ensured mood coherence.
Photoshop AI
Used to synthesize product visuals, handling fine compositional adjustments when blending was insufficient in Midjourney.
Magnific
Applied to upscale and refine image resolution.
Hailuo
Generated motion videos from still images using concise prompts and intensity adjustments to achieve natural motion.
Mix Audio
Produced custom AI-generated background music to match each scent’s mood — “majestic forest sunlight” for Sandalwood and “cheerful autumn sweetness” for Black Tea & Fig.
Premiere pro
Final assembly and editing were completed in Premiere Pro for smoother storytelling flow.
Output
Two 1-minute square-format videos introducing Longtake’s two scents were produced for flexible use across digital screens and in-store displays.
Each video follows a consistent narrative flow — beginning with the overall scent mood, then sequentially presenting the Top Note, Middle Note, and Base Note ingredients.
