Summary

We developed a pop-up reservation website and visual content that reflect Primera’s new brand value, “Powerful Mixology for Sensitive Skin.” Aiming to create symbolic image content that captures this new value, we produced representative visuals expressing “Powerful Mixology” and used AI programs to visualize the concept of mixology across ingredient, type, and formulation mixes for each key product. Beginning with the generation of Mixology content images, we extended the concept to pop-up space design and MD goods visuals, showcasing the aesthetic and conceptual richness of Mixology. These AI-generated contents were then integrated into an interactive webpage designed to immerse users in Primera’s brand philosophy. Through this experience, customers could intuitively explore Primera’s core identity and product characteristics, leading naturally to product engagement and purchase conversion. The site also featured a built-in pop-up event reservation system for seamless participation.

Background

With the evolution of Primera’s brand core to “Powerful Mixology for Sensitive Skin,” it became essential to develop symbolic visuals and product content that intuitively express the identity-anchored concept of “Mixology” through visual language. To expand on visual expression ideas that embody Primera’s metaphors, we utilized ChatGPT for conceptual exploration and Midjourney, Runway, and Firefly to quickly materialize abstract ideas into refined, tangible visuals.

Process 1. Idea Generation with ChatGPT

We assigned ChatGPT the role of a visual director for a cosmetic brand, explained the concept of mixology, and asked for ideas on how to visualize it. ChatGPT suggested creating images that combine different textures and developing an interactive webpage where users can experience the concept of mixology firsthand.

Process 2. Image and Video Creation with
Midjourney / Runway / Firefly

We applied the prompts generated through ChatGPT to Midjourney and Firefly to develop representative images for Powerful Mixology and create visual content for Mixology Tech. Then, using Runway, we added motion to emphasize key features and transformed the content into video format to enhance its versatility and impact.

Mixology Tech Visual Content Creation

We produced diverse representations of the three Mixology Tech elements — type, formulation, and ingredients — by exploring the unique textures and mixing patterns of each product. To effectively convey the dynamic motion of mixing, we created video content.

[Type Mix – Retinol Volume Lip Serum]

Using Midjourney, we generated images that express the elastic, bouncy texture of retinol, a skincare ingredient featured in this lip serum. Then, by consulting ChatGPT about Blender’s functions, we transformed the imagery into video form. Additionally, we created supplementary video sources depicting the plumping effect on the lips and integrated them into the final piece.

Additionally, we generated a series of shots in Midjourney depicting retinol droplets in motion, capturing their movement through space. These were then converted into video clips using Runway for integration into the webpage.

[Type Mix – Ceramide Peptide Serum Foundation]

To visually express a foundation infused with skincare serum ingredients, we generated images of the foundation and serum textures using Midjourney. The opening and closing shots were then edited in Photoshop to prepare for video production. After extracting video clips showing the spreading of the formulation with Runway, we combined them with container footage created in Blender.

formulations dripping backward, adding a sense of depth and fluid motion to the visual.

[Ingredient Mix – Vitatinol]

We generated images of Vitatinol, Primera’s signature product featuring the ultimate mix of vitamin C and retinol, using Midjourney, and refined specific parts with the Variation (Region) function. To capture the powerful moment of the two ingredients mixing, we created multiple variations of that instant, edited the opening and closing shots in Photoshop, and visualized the sequence using Runway.

[Formulation Mix – Oil-to-Foam]

We expressed the characteristics of a product that enables “Mild & Perfect Cleansing Care” through a new mixed formulation. Using text prompts and the Variation (Region) function, we made partial modifications, and by combining image prompts, we created diverse representations of the oil-to-foam transformation process.

Powerful Mixology Virtual Pop-Up Store

Under the virtual theme “The MIX Lab by Primera,” we created a pop-up store concept image.
To evoke the sense of mixing, we set a turntable as the main object and generated the spatial visuals using Midjourney.
We then added the silhouettes of passersby using Runway to enhance realism and bring the scene to life.

Virtual Pop-Up Store Gift / Goods Concept Design

We designed “MIXOLOGY Edition” goods as pop-up MD products. A raccoon doll, developed from existing Primera merchandise, was redesigned using the Vari (Region) feature to generate multiple outfit and hat variations. We also created initial keyrings with diverse textures featuring the letters ‘P, R, M, R,’ allowing customers to choose based on their personal preferences.다.

Process 3. Pop-up Reservation Site Creation with ChatGPT / Framer

We integrated the previously created Primera brand value content into a responsive website, intuitively conveying the renewed brand identity. The site was structured to allow users to quickly experience key product features that embody the brand’s core values and seamlessly proceed to reserve the pop-up space.

Review

The goal of this project was to become familiar with AI tools and explore their practical applications. Using ChatGPT, we were able to develop ideas during the planning stage and quickly obtain optimized prompts, saving time spent deciding on phrasing. With tools like Midjourney, Firefly, and Runway, we produced a vast number of unique images in a short period. Furthermore, we could easily inquire about the features of software we rarely use, dramatically shortening our content production time.

Although we only had limited time to explore a few AI tools, we gained confidence in applying AI across various design tasks. Continued use will not only enhance design outcomes but also improve workflow efficiency, ultimately benefiting overall project execution.
