By integrating a rotating applicator tip in place of a separate cap, the sequence of opening, closing, and applying is connected into one natural flow.
With a simple, light twisting motion, the user can prepare and use the product, transforming an everyday skincare action into an elegant and elevated ritual.
Design Story
This project began with the idea of redefining the “cap,” one of the essential elements of tube-type cosmetic packaging, not as a simple accessory but as an experience in use.
In place of a conventional separate cap, the sealing and dispensing functions were integrated into a single rounded applicator tip, so that the user can move naturally into the next action without additional handling or judgment.
When the tip is turned 90 degrees, a subtle metal line is revealed to intuitively indicate that it is ready for use; when turned back, the line disappears and the dispensing opening is firmly sealed.
This small visual signal serves as an intuitive guide, helping the user understand the state of the product without the need for explanation.
The softly rounded applicator tip is designed to come into direct contact with the skin, gliding smoothly to deliver the formula as if massaging it in. Its form, composed of gentle curves without sharp edges, enhances comfort and safety at the moment of use while also creating a calm and refined impression. After use, it can be lightly turned to seal and then placed securely on its dedicated stand, allowing for a hygienic and natural continuation of the user flow even when the hands still have product on them. The precise structure, soft curves, and restrained details can be seen as the result of careful refinement, all intended to make the experience of use more comfortable.
