In a 70-year lifetime, people spend an average of one and a half years looking at themselves in the mirror. On average, they stand in front of a mirror eight times a day and spend about 53 minutes each day on grooming. Whether in front of the bathroom mirror or at a vanity, we spend this time in our own personal space—preparing for the day and refining ourselves—surrounded by various objects that express who we are. From cotton swabs and pads to stylish lipsticks and perfumes, beauty tools express our identity not only in the moments we use them, but even when they simply sit beside us throughout the day.
Concept
The standing makeON device is designed to be easily and conveniently held at the vanity during busy mornings. It helps users feel more beautiful and confident after just 53 minutes of use. The designers’ ideas and suggestions about how customers might use this not-yet-mainstream beauty device—and what that usage might look like—were expressed through product visuals and usage imagery. The models featured in the images are designers from AMOREPACIFIC’s Brand & Design Lab, and selected images were applied to the front of the product packaging.
The brand website was launched alongside the debut of makeON. There, you can explore various images and brand stories showing how makeON naturally integrates into everyday lifestyles.
