Summary
innisfree began its empty bottle recycling campaign in 2003 with the intention of expressing gratitude to nature, which provides countless benefits to humans. Over the past six years, the campaign has collected 12 million empty bottles—an achievement equivalent to reducing 220,000 kg of carbon dioxide and planting 2,013 pine trees. The collected bottles were recycled and transformed into safe cosmetic containers through extensive testing and research, and the resulting packaging reflects an intuitive, eco-friendly design.

Concept
The bottles are designed using a spectrum of green shades to align with the campaign’s identity. The original Olive Body Cleanser was entirely coated in innisfree’s BI (Brand Identity) color, giving the impression of the first-ever “green bottle.” The three types of bubble hand washes feature soft, refined green tones that harmonize well with other daily essentials.

Under the slogan “PLAY GREEN, SHARE GREEN,” innisfree has released limited-edition products each month, demonstrating environmental awareness even when green bottles were not used. Environmental messages are conveyed either by printing the slogan on the side of large products or through various intuitive graphic styles on the front, reinforcing innisfree’s commitment to green living.
