Summary
Amorepacific Group published its 2018 Sustainability Report, “For a More Beautiful World,” last year, detailing its sustainable management activities. Since releasing the first sustainability report in the domestic beauty industry in 2009, our group has continued to publish the report annually for the past 11 years.

This year’s report is structured to convey stories surrounding key achievements to facilitate easier communication with customers. In addition to the printed version, a digital report was also released for the first time to cater to the digitally-savvy millennial generation. Furthermore, this newly issued report won the Brands & Communication Design category at the 2019 Red Dot Design Awards.

In this report, Amorepacific Group presents the group’s sustainability management activities and the achievements of each brand, based on its 2020 sustainability vision, *“A MORE Beautiful World,”* along with three strategic directions—promoting a sustainable lifestyle, realizing shared growth, and contributing to a circular economy—and eight commitments. Notably, the report includes achievements related to the 12th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), *“Responsible Consumption and Production,”* adopted at the 2015 United Nations General Assembly, as well as activities aimed at achieving the 5th SDG, *“Gender Equality,”* reflecting the company’s growth alongside women.

Meanwhile, the 2018 Sustainable Management Report, continuing last year’s initiative, was published in book form with a focus on core achievements and major activities to reduce the environmental impact of paper use. The full version, containing detailed achievements and data, is available on the Amorepacific Group website. All paper used in the production of this book is certified as environmentally friendly. In addition to choosing eco-friendly paper, we eliminated post-processing such as coating that could impact the environment and minimized ink usage, demonstrating our commitment to environmental sustainability even in the smallest details.

The cover of this book uses gray paper that showcases the natural texture of the material. Green—representing honesty, one of Amorepacific’s five core values—is used as an accent color, creating a contrast with the gray paper to give the design a youthful and distinctive feel. The title, *“For a More Beautiful World,”* is set in Amorepacific’s proprietary Aririttaburi font, conveying both the beauty of the Korean language and the values Amorepacific holds dear.

The front section of the book’s interior is designed to present stories about sustainable management in a more accessible and impactful way, using short narratives and illustrations. Simple, pencil-line illustrations encapsulate the meaning of sustainable management, while the minimal use of color effectively conveys a sincere message without being overly flashy. The latter section focuses on corporate information and data related to Amorepacific’s sustainable management, primarily through tables and graphs. Custom icons were developed to represent each element, making potentially complex information easier for readers to understand.
