Save the earth, Save the animals
I participated in a ‘graphic seed’ development project with the goal of
creating ‘paper goods’—a category that is low-cost and easily accessible to the public.
Under the theme ‘Save the Earth, Save the Animals,’ I developed a series of digital
illustrations of endangered animals, designed for use in environmental protection and eco-friendly campaigns.
First-Round Paper Goods Design
For the initial drawing phase, I selected five endangered species
to illustrate: the polar bear, red fox, emperor penguin, African lion, and blue whale.
I then created mock-ups applying these graphics to posters, postcards, stickers, and t-shirts.
Second-Round Merchandise Design
POST CARD
In the next development phase, I added whimsical elements like hats, crowns, and sunglasses to the
animals to adapt them for celebratory occasions. The front of the postcard features the main
illustration, while the back includes a short story about the featured endangered animal.
MINI CARD
I also combined the graphic elements to create a smaller mini-card.
For this version, the front features only the decorative elements without the animal,
while the back, like the postcard, contains a brief story about the species.
PHONE SCREEN
Finally, though it’s not a paper good,
I also designed a lock screen version that can be used as a phone background.
