This project aimed to develop free and creative visual seeds that embody Mamonde’s new brand concept, “Powered by Hyper-Flora,” and apply them to various forms of brand content.
Because generative AI produces visuals that are both aligned with and distinct from the creator’s intent— often surprising yet creative—it was considered an ideal tool to express Mamonde’s boundary-less and experimental beauty.
Step 1. Create Anything, First
As the name “AI Expedition Team” suggests, AI initially felt neither familiar nor simple.
However, since understanding comes only through exploration, we dove in and asked Midjourney to visualize whatever came to mind.
The intended use was for web-based brand content, such as Instagram, so we input a few of Mamonde’s key brand keywords.
While the results were visually appealing, the lingering question remained: “Where can we actually use this?”
Step 2. Focus on the Concept
We began creating unrealistic, concept-driven visuals that could be used to represent ingredients and benefits on product pages or Instagram.
To express “Hyper-Flora,” flowers served as the primary motif, while we experimented with “hyper” aesthetics—intense colors and textured visuals.
References with high saturation and rich materials guided the direction, and once we achieved a satisfying output, we developed multiple variations in angle and composition for exploration.
Step 3. Taking It a Step Further
Using the images generated by Midjourney as a base, we carried out secondary refinement and development.
While the overall visuals were satisfying, specific parts were seamlessly adjusted using Photoshop Firefly.
We also explored new ways to extend image application through Runway AI.
When applied to Mamonde’s Instagram feed, these processed visuals blended seamlessly with the existing brand identity.
Step 4. Applying to Practical Work
During the preparation for the Mamonde Probiotics Ceramide line’s design AD, we conducted a visual test using generative AI.
While maintaining the soft identity of the existing line, we aimed to emphasize the new line’s vibrant and hyper-modern energy by creating visuals where flowers and backgrounds appear in fluid motion.
To use these as backdrops for photography, selected images were expanded to a 16:9 aspect ratio and exported in high resolution for print output.

Work Review
While Midjourney alone has its limitations, it proved to be an extremely valuable tool when used for content creation through post-processing.
Although AI doesn’t always deliver exactly what’s expected, its ability to produce the unexpected is its greatest strength — often inspiring creative directions that a human designer might not imagine.
