Making Tongs with Jesmonite
Summary
Jesmonite is a type of naturally curing resin that is solvent-free, free of volatile organic compounds, and has high hardness, durability, and fire resistance, developed in the UK as an environmental alternative to resin products that are harmful to humans. Using jesmonite as an eco-friendly material, we tried to make practical items that can be used in the exhibition site and offline stores, such as trays / objects / POP holders that can be used in stores, and mixed shredded plastic, empty bottles, etc. to make products, and mixed discarded eyeshadows, nails, etc. to study cosmetics reuse.
Concept
Seeking environmental alternatives to challenging materials like concrete and harmful resin products, we created and reused various items for exhibition spaces and offline settings to reduce unnecessary resource waste and conduct research on eco-friendly materials.
