The Raw Material Plant Garden is a place that honors the precious value of plants, explores
their diverse potential uses, and educates the public. It also serves as a social contribution
initiative dedicated to collecting, managing, and preserving plant resources for the future.
Here, visitors can discover more than 1,280 plant species — including ginseng, licorice, and peony,
key ingredients used in Amorepacific’s flagship brand Sulwhasoo — as well as other plants utilized in cosmetics.
To preserve and record the beautiful moments when countless plants
bloom and fade in harmony with the changing seasons, we launched
a project to document the landscapes of the Osan Botanical Garden.
To capture the moment as it truly was, we used film and Polaroid cameras
to record the spring scenes of the Osan Botanical Garden.
We created a sample photo book featuring images that capture the seasons of Osan,
developed and digitized through film processing and scanning.
Inspired by the many plants that fill Osan, the photo book depicts butterflies
resting on leaves and fluttering alongside them — evoking the feeling of being fully
immersed in nature. This concept served as the foundation for the photo book we created.
