Every time I receive a greeting card, I feel like it helps me start the new year in a good mood, so I make a greeting card every
year to express my gratitude to those who have loved Amorepacific this year and to wish them a happy start to the new year.
Every year, the New Year’s card is based on the motif of the world headquarters building. This is because the space has a
special meaning. The Amorepacific headquarters was designed from the beginning to make the entire lower floors from the
first to the third floor as a public space so that employees and customers could meet and communicate naturally. It is
also a space that symbolically expresses the aesthetic that we pursue as a company. In that sense, I think the building
best represents Amorepacific’s mission of ‘beautifying people and beautifying the world’, which is why I often work with motifs.
This year’s greeting card expresses the colorful and beautiful world of cosmetics, where the human imagination is combined with the
expressive power of AI. Pompom bubbles are piled up like snow, the neutral headquarters building is painted in various colors, and
glittery lip gloss shines brightly like a streetlight. The world of cosmetics is infinitely expandable.
This year, we applied AI tools to the process of realizing our ideas in a new way. We created a lot of images while testing
various AI tools that were getting better and better by the day, and we went through several processes to select the most
suitable images to capture our message, and the greeting card you see here was born.
The process itself was a new experience, as we were using AI tools to realize what we had imagined in our heads, and we wanted to
capture the process in a video, especially since we generated a lot more results than we had before, and we were worried about how
to make the video interesting.
To do this, we used the images created by the AI tool and put them into motion using another AI tool. Through several tests, we were able to find the right combination, and we focused on controlling the motion and improving the perfection. Video is a physically demanding process, and we were able to save time and money by using AI tools properly.
This year’s greeting card was born out of a fun imagination: “What would a world of cosmetic formulations look like?” By adding AI tools to
the mix, we can discover a new beauty of growth and expansion. In that sense, we hope that those who use this greeting card will also
discover their own diverse beauty as they expand their personal possibilities.
With the results of the AI, we produced greeting cards for Jiryu and delivered them to our grateful
customers, and we also sold them to Amore Seongsu and Amore Yongsan so that customers can use them as well.
