Summary
AI-Powered HERA Holiday Visual Content Development
Using generative AI tools, we created virtual models that effectively express HERA’s free-spirited and distinctive brand image.
Building on these models, we developed visual content for the 2024 Virtual Holiday Season.
Through this project, we were able to reduce the time and cost required to produce the brand’s new seasonal campaign, while also expanding our creative horizons by exploring new ideas generated through AI.

Step 1. Ideation
We received keyword suggestions from Amore GPT to capture the essence of HERA’s most special holiday season.
Among the ten suggested keywords, we selected “Winter Awakening”, as it best reflects HERA’s renewed and modern sensibility.
We then envisioned a look that would visually express this keyword.
Building on a classic neutral tone, the look features natural, glowing skin, shimmering glitter, and silver jewelry to convey the fresh, festive spirit of the holiday season.

STEP 2. AI Model Generate
We created a virtual AI model to represent HERA’s brand image using Midjourney.
Physical attributes such as age, gender, and ethnicity were defined in the prompt, and Midjourney’s Vary feature was used to introduce variations in hairstyles and camera angles.
The generated AI images were then refined and retouched in Photoshop.

STEP 3. Make-up Look Photo
Based on Steps 1 and 2, we produced a makeup visual for HERA’s virtual holiday campaign, “Winter Awakening.”
Black was used as the accent color to create a natural light tone complemented by silver jewelry, with an emphasis on luminous, glowing skin and soft lip textures.

❷ By uploading reference images through Midjourney’s Describe feature, we developed new prompts by selectively incorporating keywords extracted from the output.

STEP 4-1. Source Develop
In addition to the main AI model from Steps 1–2, we developed multi-ethnic model images to showcase HERA’s look.
These were created based on the images from Step 3 and further refined using Midjourney’s Vary (Region) feature and Photoshop.

Review
Since finding suitable models and expressing the desired look would normally require considerable time and cost, it was inspiring to see that AI tools could deliver a high level of completeness in both makeup looks and overall concepts.
Although some images generated were not aligned with the intended vision—requiring extra time to refine the outcomes—this process provided a valuable opportunity to explore the potential of AI tools.
By improving my prompt-writing techniques and strategically combining multiple AI platforms, I was able to gain deeper insight into their creative possibilities.
