HERA Skincare Visual Contents
Summary
While HERA’s makeup visual content continues to evolve through diverse looks and creative experimentation, its skincare visual content remains stagnant and does not fully reflect the characteristics of online and offline platforms.
To address this gap, our goal was to develop and propose brand-specific skincare visual content sources by utilizing various generative AI technologies.
Product Information, Characteristics, and Benefit Study
We first selected the key products from each HERA skincare line and studied their features to understand the core messages to be communicated.
In parallel, we conducted an identity analysis and a visual status review for each product to develop intuitive and impactful imagery that effectively captures and expresses each product’s essence.

Formulation Studies Tailored to Specific Products
We generated AI images through multiple tests to visualize each product’s unique character and attributes—such as formula density, texture, color, and transparency.

Skincare Product Image Styling
We created representative skincare product images with a unified composition and layout, accompanied by visuals that emphasize each product’s unique texture.
These were proposed as representative thumbnail images for each product and designed for use on online product detail pages as well as offline skincare tester displays.
Online Detail Page Application Plan
All generated images — including main product thumbnails, texture visuals, and “How To” application images — were utilized to propose example layouts and tone-and-mood directions for each product’s detail page.
Review
Through my participation in AI Expedition Seasons 1 and 2, I gained hands-on experience with various AI tools.
To produce high-quality outcomes, I found it essential to combine multiple AI tools, leveraging the strengths of each, while treating AI-generated images as source materials to be refined with a human touch.
Rather than relying solely on what AI tools produce, I believe it is crucial to continuously study and refine prompt structures and
parameter settings for each tool, enabling the extraction of intentional, well-planned visuals. Moving forward, I plan to integrate the AI tool proficiency
and insights gained from this AI Expedition into my ongoing visual and design work.
