AMOREPACIFIC TRAVEL EXCLUSIVE POP-UP STORE DESIGN
Summary
We propose the Amore Travel Exclusive pop-up store as a way to diagnose and respond to the situation of the duty-free channel.
The number of people leaving Incheon International Airport recovered to normal in 2024, but airport duty-free sales remained at 72% before the coronavirus in 2019, preventing the airport from returning to pre-COVID levels. The biggest reason is the change in shopping trends among travelers. Customers are increasingly inclined to prefer personalized consumption and experiential travel seeking cost-effective products over expensive luxury goods, and as an alternative, we propose a Travel Exclusive pop-up where you can only experience and buy products at airports.

Concept
As an alternative to the shifting trends in duty-free shopping, we propose a Travel Exclusive
Pop-up — a space where travelers can discover and purchase products available only
at the airport, offering a unique experience that blends shopping and travel.
1. AMORE Travel Exclusive zone
A space where visitors can enjoy both exclusive Travel Exclusive products and special duty-free pricing, all in one place.
2. Wanna beauty – skin character
A smart mirror–based beauty device zone offering skin analysis and personalized product recommendations, alongside a curated selection of duty-free exclusive items from Amore brands.
3. My Limited Amore
A customizable experience zone where travelers can purchase travel kits from Amore brands and create their own DIY pouch to assemble a personalized travel kit.
We designed the pop-up space around the concept of offering exclusive products and experiences available only at the airport, proposing a 20-pyeong virtual space that combines specialized products with interactive experiences.
At the entrance, the main visual point (VP) features key display fixtures highlighting duty-free promotions and signature products, serving as an eye-catching focal element that draws visitors into the space.

During long airport layovers, travelers can enjoy a space where they experience personalized skin diagnostics through beauty devices and smart mirrors powered by Amorepacific’s skincare expertise and accumulated skin analysis data.
The space offers access to Travel Exclusive products and special duty-free pricing, available only through airport channels.
For today’s value-conscious customers, the store features curated travel kits from Amorepacific’s brands, along with a DIY zone where visitors can personally select and assemble their own custom travel kit.
This engaging, hands-on experience not only enhances interaction with the products but also encourages continued interest leading to full-size product purchases after travel.

Through smart mirrors and Makeon device sensors, visitors receive tailored skincare diagnostics and consultations based on real skin data.
The space bridges AI-driven personalization and product experience, naturally connecting diagnosis, recommendation, and purchase into one seamless flow.
