Re:Shaped #3. Modular Pulp Organizer
| Expanding the Possibility of Reuse through Modular Forms of Upcycled Paper Waste
Summary
This project uses waste paper from product box production to explore shapes and structures. Building on previous experiments,
we focused on enhancing durability and functionality, creating sturdy forms for use as organizers and display objects.

The Structure of Circulation,
The Form of Organization
The Form of Organization
So that paper, once its first
purpose is complete,
may be
rewritten — in our own language.
From a single shape,
new forms emerge, gather into modules,
stack, unfold — and become art.
Not disappearing,
but returning in another form,
it quietly carries the story of nature’s
continuous cycle into our daily lives.

Re:Shaped #3 — Objects Made from Nature
Collaborating with artist Lee Woo-jae, who has long
explored diverse forms of expression through paper,
we
undertook a project to repurpose our company’s
discarded paper into new creations.
Maintaining the consistent direction established in
previous projects,
we placed utmost importance on the
texture and sustainability of paper throughout every
stage — from production to disposal.

We studied a modular system that balances sculptural
beauty and functionality. Although made from solid
pulp, the forms were designed to remain flexible — able
to adapt and transform according to context. Focusing
on how repetitive shapes and planes can create
structural variations, we experimented with multiple
configurations and simulations.

For color, we combined our recycled paper with
newspaper materials used by the artist, producing a
range of nuanced tones. For instance, pulp made from
Hanyul’s young mugwort paper waste retains a gentle,
natural tint reminiscent of the ingredient itself.
The edges of each object were aligned and sanded to
achieve a tactile balance — firm yet smooth to the
touch — embodying the coexistence of strength and
softness that defines the collection.

Modular Pulp Organizer
When everyday objects rest upon modular pulp, they form
a naturally ordered and sensory atmosphere.
The modules,
stacking and unfolding, quietly assert their presence,
adding a gentle sense of balance to our daily lives.

Beyond their function of organization, they also enrich the
space — serving as small works of art in themselves.

In retail spaces, Modular Pulp functions not only as a
practical tool for product display,
but also as an object
that harmonizes effortlessly with its surroundings.

Balance and rhythm within daily life —

Within
these gestures lie both function and artistry,
