지난 10월 1일 롯데호텔 소공점 설화수 스파가 3,4층에서 7층으로 이전하여 새롭게 오픈하였습니다.
공간 디자인뿐만 아니라, 스파 곳곳에 놓인 작가들의 작품은 설화수 브랜드의 철학과 헤리티지를 깊이 있게 느낄 수 있는 것으로 엄선해 배치하였습니다. 대표적으로 조선시대 ‘궁중자수매화도 10곡 병풍’을 재해석한 10폭의 자수 작품과 조선시대 사대부가 향유하던 윤회매 그리고 도자로 이루어진 편 작품을 감상할 수 있습니다.
Sulwhasoo Spa reopened on October 1, 2018 after relocating to the seventh floor from the third and fourth floors in Lotte Hotel Seoul.
The spa is ubiquitously decorated with selected artworks that inspire visitors to feel the philosophy and heritage of the Sulwhasoo brand. Major artworks once enjoyed by noblemen of the Joseon dynasty include the ten-panel folding screen titled “Royal Embroidered Plum Flowers” and an exquisite work of plum flowers made of beeswax titled “Yunhoemae(Samsara Plum Flowers)” as well as stunning ceramic works.
기존 호텔 객실을 리노베이션 하는 것에 있어 구조적인 제한이 많았기 때문에 공간 구성에 대한 학습을 오랜 시간 진행했습니다. 설화수 스파의 공간 디자인은, 반복적인 곡선으로 이루어진 구조적인 형태와 따뜻하고 밝은 색감으로 이루어진 마감재를 사용하여 현대적인 느낌을 전달하면서도 담백한 한국의 정서를 은유적으로 경험할 수 있도록 디자인했습니다. 가공되지 않은 돌, 나무, 실크와 자수 등 동양적인 요소를 다양한 조합으로 사용하여 조화와 균형이라는 브랜드 가치를 공간에 담았습니다.
또한, 오직 스파 만을 위해 특별히 제작된 ”설화수 랜턴”은, 이 공간에 머물고 있는 순간과 기억을 더욱 의미 있게 하기 위한 장치입니다. 랜턴은 스파의 시작 지점인 리셉션부터 고객을 맞이하며, 카운셀링존 > 스파룸 > 파우더룸 순의 고객 동선에 따라 빛의 밝기를 달리하여 기억에 남을 수 있는 시각적 경험을 선사합니다.
The renovation took a long time due to the structural limitation in changing the existing hotel rooms to a spa. Finished with repetitive curved lines and warm, bright tone, the spatial design of Sulwhasoo Spa metaphorically expresses simple Korean sentiments meeting modern sensibility. Overall, the space — featuring an aesthetic combination of various Oriental elements such as raw stone, wood, silk, and embroidery — is designed to capture the brand value built on harmony and balance.
Especially, through the “Sulwhasoo Lantern” exclusively created for the spa, customers can cherish their moments and make their memories more meaningful. The lanterns welcome all visitors entering through the reception area, and the varying brightness offers a memorable visual experience as they move from the Counseling Zone through the Spa Room to the Powder Room.
