Concept
Amorepacific, founded on September 5, 1945—shortly after Korea’s liberation—celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, marking a significant milestone in the history of Korean cosmetics culture.
The camellia flower, known for its resilience and ability to bloom even in harsh winters, symbolizes Amorepacific’s corporate philosophy and legacy. In the 1930s, Yun Dok-jeong, mother of founder Suh Sung-whan, began making and selling camellia hair oil from her small kitchen in Gaeseong. This humble beginning laid the foundation for what would become today’s global beauty company, Amorepacific.
The 70th-anniversary logo, designed with a camellia wreath motif, not only celebrates seven decades of pioneering beauty culture but also expresses a vision for a future where the world continues to become more beautiful.
