The project began with a whimsical question, “What if a pop-up store could be alive—like Howl’s Moving Castle? Or like a general store truck packed with kitchen appliances, tools, and sundries, roaming the country selling goods?”
Concept
“Luxury Boo Boo Shop: Anna’s Cosmetics Store”
Anna loves Amore so much that collecting not only Amore cosmetics, but also promotional items, limited editions, and various printed materials has become her hobby. She now runs her own luxury boutique, where she sells her collection. Since childhood, Anna has loved running through wide-open fields, traveling, and indulging in art and music. Though her store is small, she travels the world—from New York and Paris to London and Australia—operating her shop and enjoying the everyday moments and friends she meets along the way.”
The store is filled with furniture Anna collected during her travels in France and the UK,
as well as angled storage units designed for easy transport by car.
Mirror balls, speakers, and other items reflecting her personal taste,
along with souvenirs from her journeys, are scattered throughout the store.
Anna is obsessed with the color red. After discovering that “Amore” means “love” in Italian, she began decorating her store in red. The building is wrapped in red vinyl, and even the parasols and chairs outside are all red.
Around the parasols, Anna has arranged a lush assortment of plants she’s collected, including grasses, dogwood, guava, olive trees, and even a miniature apple tree called “Alpine Girl’s Red Cheeks.”
