Longtake is about a lifestyle that embraces the woody scents of deep, off-the-beaten-path forests and the high potency of everyday beauty.
We designed the new fragrance line in response to customer demand for the brand’s unique fragrance, which is growing steadily with
its sensual scent and smooth application. We analyzed the elements that make up the identity of the existing hair and body care
products and designed them to continue the brand’s originality.
Our goal was to design the perfume cap as a tactile object that embodies the brand’s identity and integrates seamlessly into a customer’s lifestyle.
To deepen the consumer’s connection to the brand, we used wood—a key material in the fragrance’s composition—as the central design element.
The idea of a long-lasting scent that melds with the skin over time is visually expressed through layered, overlapping wooden forms.
We applied a pattern that evokes the natural texture of tree bark, using physical debossing to create a rich sense of depth.
The secondary packaging was designed to extend the simple yet sensual woody mood of the product.
The outer box features a die-cut label shape that resembles torn tree bark, creating a clear link to the existing hair and body care packaging.
We also applied a subtle embossing to mimic the tactile feel of natural wood grain. For brand consistency, we used a deep brown color reminiscent of Longtake’s main brand color.
Upon opening the box, the consumer is greeted with an image of a deep forest, visually immersing them in the brand’s world and scent profile.
The Solid Perfume is a long-lasting, tube-based solid fragrance.
It features the same cap design as the Eau de Parfum, but its proportions were adjusted to fit the taller, vertical shape of the tube.
To emphasize a premium feel and draw focus to the cap’s sculptural form, we used a matte texture and kept the typography minimal.
The secondary packaging was also adapted to a vertical box, with the depth of the embossed wood grain and logo carefully adjusted for maximum visual impact.
