Amorepacific launched TONEWORK, a brand that specializes in customized makeup, and held a pop-up at Lotte Hotel L7 Hongdae to allow customers to experience the customized makeup service in person.
Concept
The pop-up was designed as a key global customer touchpoint and a testing ground for the future expansion of ‘Tonework byME,’ our customized makeup self-service.
The space at L7 Hongdae was divided into three distinct zones: a self-service area where visitors could experience the personalized technology, a testing station with over 300 product colors and textures, and a pickup counter for the final made-to-order products.
Measurement Zone byME
In the ‘byME’ Measurement Zone, visitors could experience our
AI-based color diagnosis algorithm, which precisely measures
facial color to find their perfect, unique skin tone.
The self-service space also featured self-diagnosis devices and
physical Shade Cards, allowing customers to measure their skin
tone and receive custom color recommendations without direct staff assistance.
Tester Zone
The self-testing area featured over 300 tester shades, allowing
visitors to experience the full range of foundation colors firsthand.
This included over 150 shades in both the MATT and GLOW finishes.
“In the self-test area,
MATT & GLOW, each with over 150 colors, totaling over 300 color shades,
displayed in a tester format, enabling customers to experience the products firsthand.”
Pickup Service
After finding their perfect match, customers could purchase a
custom-made foundation or cushion, which was produced on-site for immediate pickup.
