Summary
‘OLIVE YOUNG FESTA’, hosted by Olive Young, held for the 5th time in 2023, was held for 5 days from December 13th to 17th, with a total of 79 brands participating, attracting 15,000 visitors and tickets sold out in 30 seconds.
Hanyul participated for the second time in 2023 with its Cattail Balm Pore Pack, following last year’s ‘Himchan Kong’.
Concept
The Chestnut Forest of Utgol Farm, Buyeo, Chungnam
The chestnuts used in Hanyul Budlebam are grown at Utgol Farm in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do, using an eco-friendly cultivation method that replaces chemical fertilizers with natural compost. These pesticide-free chestnuts are naturally dried under the gentle winter sun, then finely ground into yulpi (chestnut shells), which become a key ingredient in Hanyul Budlebam.
The space, inspired by the serene chestnut forest of Utgol Farm, is designed using natural materials sourced from the forest itself. Through an engaging event where visitors can discover their own “chestnut type” based on their pore type using life-sized chestnut installations, we aimed to convey the natural origins, benefits, and effectiveness of Budlebam.

At the entrance of the booth, visitors receive a Pore Diagnosis Ticket to identify their pore type and begin their journey to say goodbye to pores with the Budlebalm Pore Pack best suited for them.
Designed to suit the nature of a festival where visitors spend only a short time, this self-diagnosis experience replaces traditional counseling with an interactive Q&A-style ticket, allowing everyone to easily understand their own pore condition in a fun and engaging way.

Hanul collaborated with Broboy, a popular doll brand, to create the Horizontal Pore Chestnut and Vertical Pore Chestnut dolls—designed to express the two types of Budle Night packs in a friendly, relatable way.
Visitors could draw a doll according to their pore diagnosis results and receive matching product gifts, turning skincare into an engaging and memorable experience.
To create an immersive experience, the Counseling Zone was designed as a cozy forest cabin.
Here, visitors could receive product recommendations and gifts in one spot.
The booth was filled with diffusers carrying the sweet scent of roasted chestnuts, letting visitors experience the fragrance of Budle Night firsthand.
Displays of chestnuts and spiky shells recreated the feeling of stepping into a serene chestnut forest.
Promoters wore casual uniforms in soft blue tones, matching the forest concept while maintaining a friendly yet distinctive presence.
Additional design features—such as logo titles, gift bundles, leaflets, self-diagnosis tickets, and Budle Night dolls—were crafted to enhance the concept and visibility of the booth.
