The changed blush and airy powder primer are applied in a consistent shape to express HERA’s identity through the renewal of the HERA makeup package. The most minimalistic square shape without any curves embodies the contemporary Seoul that HERA aims for. We aim to propose delicate and functional luxury by expressing HERA’s unique square shape in a formative language, as well as makeup technology, simple silhouettes that highlight rich colors, and structural details tailored to each product type.
BLUSH
Hera’s blush features a diverse color palette inspired by Seoul, offering five trendy yet timeless color looks.
As the starting point of Hera’s powder renewal, the blush was designed to refine the brand’s vision of contemporary luxury through a clean, square shape.
This curve-free square form is accented with a sensuous diagonal cut along the sides, creating Hera’s distinctive square identity.
Its minimal thickness—with a 1:1 ratio between the upper and lower components—further emphasizes the square silhouette and diagonal elements, adding a sense of visual tension.
Within this simple yet refined structure, the product’s standout features—its rich colors and textures—are thoughtfully arranged to take center stage.
AIRY POWDER PRIMER
The Airy Powder Primer incorporates innovative powder technology to create a smooth skin canvas, retaining the strengths of previous products while minimizing their weaknesses.
It also introduces a newly designed container. To align with the design language of the blush, unnecessary elements from the previous version were removed, and the structure was made as compact as possible.
The widest possible brush within the compact dimensions was applied to ensure even application across the entire face.
In addition, the diagonal structure—shared with the blush—makes the container easier to open, while the magnetic brush enhances convenience and usability.
DETAIL
Both the blush and Airy Powder compacts have been redesigned with a magnetic opening mechanism, allowing the diagonal edge that comes into contact with the hand to function as the opening point—offering a simple and convenient user experience.
This diagonal element also connects to the design details at the edges of the upper and lower containers when opened, expressing Hera’s signature refined luxury aesthetic.
As part of a sustainable design approach, the containers are made with PCR 50% recycled plastic.
The existing logo inlay decoration was removed and replaced with an embossed logo filled with ink, reducing the use of unnecessary materials.
The blush is designed with an optimized ratio to be compatible with an upcoming shadow set, and three out of the four container molds are interchangeable, reducing production energy.
These efforts collectively minimize the environmental impact of the product.
