Summary
Primera is a ‘Powerful Mixology’ brand that uses an optimal mix of ingredients/formulas/types to address slow aging and sensitivity
concerns with high-efficacy, low-irritation solutions. Primera Watery Cream and Watery Cream Cushion are our flagship products that
provide optimal solutions for sensitive skin with high efficacy and hypoallergenic products. In order to intuitively feel the efficacy
of the product, we minimized the decorations and used only the brand wordmark ‘prmr’ to enhance the product design, and developed a
refillable container to make it eco-friendly and clean.
Design Idea
The Watery Cream and Watery Cream Cushion are formulated for extremely sensitive and post-procedure skin.
While most makeup products tend to be more irritating than skincare, the Watery Cream Cushion incorporates the soothing ingredients of the Watery Cream, creating a repairing makeup product with minimal irritation.
Both products blur the boundaries between skincare and makeup design by leveraging Primera’s core visual assets, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovative solutions for diverse skin concerns while maintaining a consistent and unified identity.
Design Specifics
The Primera Watery Cream and Watery Cream Cushion feature a compact, hand-fitting size and a simple, refined silhouette.
The curved lines from the prmr wordmark are subtly applied to the product’s edges, with proportions adjusted for usability.
The Watery Cream includes an embossed prmr wordmark on its side, allowing for easy screw-cap opening, while the Cushion expresses its ‘Skincare-Grade Makeup’ concept through an embossed design that evokes the image of being immersed in the Watery Cream.
In color and typography, the design avoids the bold tones and heavy text typical of high-performance products. Instead, it adopts a clean, soft, and understated aesthetic, emphasizing Primera’s high-performance yet gentle skincare philosophy.
By leaving only the minimalist prmr wordmark, the design conveys a quiet sense of brand confidence and purity.
Sustainability
Both the Watery Cream and Watery Cream Cushion were developed with refillable packaging.
This system allows the outer container to be reused while only the inner refill is replaced, reducing plastic consumption.
The refill packaging is not only eco-friendly but also ensures hygienic use without contamination.
Unnecessary decorative elements were removed to streamline the production process and improve recyclability, reinforcing Primera’s commitment to sustainable design.
