OSULLOC Tea House Cheonggyecheon Branch is the franchise’s 18th location, following stores in Hongdae, Samcheong-dong, Gangnam Station, and Garosu-gil. What sets the Cheonggyecheon branch apart from the others is its interior design, inspired by the untouched natural beauty of Jeju Island, the very origin of the OSULLOC brand. The color palette—mist gray, white, and dark gray—is drawn from Jeju’s dense fog and volcanic basalt. A splash of bright green, symbolizing budding green tea leaves, adds a fresh accent to the space.
Concept
The steps in the store divide the layout into three distinct zones. The first is the Product Zone, featuring a majestic roof and built-in shelves that highlight the displayed items. This space is designed to lend a sense of weight and sophistication to each product on display.
The second is the Jeju Zone, which reflects both the abundance of basalt on Jeju Island and OSULLOC’s deep connection to its heritage. Photographs and videos of Jeju’s landscapes transport visitors to the island, while a wall inspired by Jeju’s traditional ujatdam stone fences features a map showing the locations of OSULLOC’s tea fields.
The third and final area is the Café Zone, where patrons can relax and enjoy tea in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Warm, bright sunlight floods the space, softening the presence of walls and making the area feel more open and expansive. Why not enjoy a cup of your favorite tea while basking in the gentle May sunlight streaming through the windows?
