Summary
Following “Tea House,” the café-style shop operated by O’sulloc that highlights “customer experience,” the “Tea Shop,” a store located inside a department store, also adopts a similar approach. Tea Shop is smaller in size compared to Tea House but is designed to let customers enjoy the tastes and aromas of various kinds of tea with guidance from professional counselors.
Concept
In Jeju’s eco-green region, the store’s color palette is kept minimal to enhance the experience of handcrafted tea by O’sulloc. Within the subdued backdrop, products are displayed individually to make the newly updated, elaborate graphic imagery more appealing. A separate space is dedicated to the Master’s Tea line, the brand’s most luxurious handcrafted tea, effectively showcasing the excellence of O’sulloc green tea along with its brand story.
As seen in Tea House, design elements such as the canopy with overlapping curved lines that graphically represent the O’sulloc tea plantation in Jeju, colors inspired by Jeju’s dark volcanic stones, and shelves mimicking stacked Jeju stones make up the interior of the compact space. At the center of the store, real dried green tea leaves are displayed to help visitors envision the lush green tea fields that now thrive on Jeju’s once barren land.
