In July 2024, IOPE participated in QOO10’s offline event in Tokyo, Japan, titled ‘MEGA COSME LAND 2024’. IOPE created a space that showcased the long history of its flagship products, ‘RETINOL SUPER BOUNCE SERUM and ‘GLUTA VAMIN C’, providing an opportunity introduce IOPE to Japanese over a two-day period.

Concept
IOPE is a domestic functional cosmetics brand that offers high-performance products backed by 27 years of research heritage and the latest bio-technology. This space was designed to visually showcase IOPE’s technological excellence and long-standing legacy, with a layout centered around its flagship products: RETINOL SUPER BOUNCE SERUM and GLUTA VITAMIN C.

Outside the booth, thick, elastic ribbons were used to visually and tactilely represent the
elasticity-enhancing effects of RETINOL and VITAMIN C. IOPE’s signature blue served as
the main color, accented with orange to create a striking color combination
that stood out among the many booths—effectively enhancing the spatial design.

Upon entering, the RETINOL & VITAMIN C HISTORY display showcases research results on retinol and vitamin C dating back to the 1990s, organized by year. At the end of the history section, silhouettes of upcoming products to be released alongside retinol and vitamin C are featured to spark curiosity and anticipation. On the opposite side, there is an airball event zone and a product experience area for RETINOL & VITAMIN C. This space features a large product dummy and colored acrylic elements to draw focus within a compact area. Tester products are displayed at an easily accessible height, allowing visitors to freely try them. The booth’s exterior design featured elastic ribbons to express the elasticity-enhancing effects of IOPE’s RETINOL & VITAMIN C. Custom visuals were newly created to reinforce the theme of elasticity and elevate the overall atmosphere of the space. At the center of it all, a single impactful shot of RETINOL SUPER BOUNCE SERUM was placed in a key location to immediately capture customers’ attention.

retouching—carefully adjusting target colors, shadows, and lighting—the visuals for RETINOL & VITAMIN C were finalized.

IOPE QOO10 POP-UP Project
The goal was to communicate IOPE’s high efficacy and long-standing history to Japanese customers who may be unfamiliar with the brand. The key benefit of its flagship products—RETINOL SUPER BOUNCE SERUM and GLUTA VITAMIN C—namely, elasticity improvement, was reflected in the space through the use of various materials.
Design Key Points
Outside the booths, elastic ribbons were used to visually and tactilely express the skin-firming effects of RETINOL and VITAMIN C. IOPE’s brand color, blue, was used extensively as the main color, with orange as an accent to create a bold color combination that stands out among the many booths. Event prize bags were designed with air-filled cells that create a bouncy texture when inflated, adding a playful and engaging touch.
