In the exceptionally beautiful fall of 2023, Amorepacific Water’s seasonal makeup look, Makeup & Life Blending (aka. Merable),
is a glowy makeup look inspired by the autumnal moonlight. The season’s most trendy fall makeup looks are created by combining
the glow of the moonlight on the skin with the signature colors of F/W 2023 and different texture techniques.

1. Before the makeup artists and photography crew arrive, the three members of the Merable team are first on-site to set up (laying down the backdrop, ironing costumes, preparing props, etc.).
2. The first order of business is shooting the key product shots for the three looks. We used an orange-hued organza fabric to capture the colors and feeling of autumn.
3. We also make sure to select the best shot of each product and create mock layouts to check the overall visual harmony.
4. While the product photography is underway, the trio of makeup artists begins their work, from base application to the full look.
5. A pro tip for achieving a blurry effect in photos: wrap the lens with plastic wrap before shooting! (While this can be done in Photoshop, this analog method creates a distinct vibe.)

We move beyond classic seasonal makeup that emphasizes sharp lines to propose a new, trend-forward look that blurs boundaries. The inspiration is the shimmering, blurred texture of Hong Kong’s city lights at night. To achieve this, we create a reddish-brown accent on the lips using Hera’s Sensual Powder Matte Liquid in the shade ‘Rosy Suede’—a formula that is powdery yet optimal for blending. For the eyes, we build a soft, dimensional shadow using the Etude Play Color Eyes Autumn Closet palette, mirroring the autumnal mood of the lips. 1. At the reception desk, completed ‘Merable’ look images are displayed on a square monitor, with three or four different posters adorning the walls.
2. To create a cohesive look with the visual merchandising at the main autumn promotion table, we utilized the same fabric, printing it with an autumnal color gradient and the campaign logo.
3. This time, we created a prominent display for the hero look, arranging the key products used for the point makeup directly in front of the image.
4. When setting up these displays, our goal is always to encourage customers to engage with the ‘Merable’ looks, try them out on the spot, and feel inspired to purchase the products. To make this process seamless, we chose to display the saleable stock directly alongside the testers. This eliminates the inconvenience of a customer having to test a product and then search for it again on a separate shelf.
