제주 전역에 걸쳐 360여 개가 분포해 있는 오름은 단순히 독특하고 아름다운 자연이 아닌 제주의 자연과

규모의 오름이지만 상대적으로 자료가 많지 않습니다.
누군가는 해야 할 일이지만 아무도 시도하지 않았던 오름을 주제로 연구를 시작했습니다. 오랜 시간 제주의
지질, 식물, 동물, 역사와 문화를 연구하고 있는 전문가들이 뜻을 모아 어승생오름의
과거와 현재, 오름을 스쳐간 이야기를 기록했습니다.

With more than 360 of them spread across Jeju Island, oreums are not just
unique and beautiful natural features, but iconic ecological assets that
represent the island’s nature and culture.
Eoseungsaeng Oreum is the second largest oreum on Jeju, but there is relatively little data
on it, so we set out to do what someone should do, but no one has done before. Experts who
have long studied Jeju’s geology, plants, animals, history, and culture came together
to document the past, present, and stories of Eoseungsaeng Oreum.
Based on two years of research, the exhibit is organized through the eyes of
an observer exploring the ecosystems of Eoseungsaeng Oreum.
You can explore Eoseungsaeng Oreum as a scholar and sometimes as a writer, feeling the sights and sounds of Eoseungsaeng Oreum.

Forest, Light, Breath 3가지 챕터로 제작된 영상은 오름의 전경과 숲의 나무들, 빛에 반짝이는 이끼,
오름에 살고 있는 새들의 소리까지 마치 오름안에 들어온 듯한 기분을 느끼게 합니다.
As you enter the darkened exhibition space, a large screen displays a video of the
sights and sounds of Eoseungsaeng Oreum. Organized into three chapters, Forest, Light, and Breath,
the video shows panoramic views of the Oreum, forest trees, and moss glistening in the light,
and the sounds of the birds that live in the Oreum, making you feel like you’re inside the Oreum.

Recreated the desk of four people who spent two years studying Eoseungsaeng Oreum.
At each of the four desks, you can watch videos that tell the story of the Eoseungsaeng Oreum from
geological, botanical, zoological, and humanistic perspectives. The desks are lined with the records
they kept while studying the Eoseungsaeng Oreum, which are freely available for viewing.

We created a guestbook space for visitors to record their Oreum memories.
Visitors can share their own stories on a large map of Jeju’s 360 oreums, and view other people’s
stories to help them decide which oreum to visit next. On the left side of the guestbook, you can also
learn about the Innisfree Moeum Foundation’s oreum conservation efforts and oreum visitation etiquette.
전시를 통한 도서와 굿즈 판매 수익금 전액은 오름 보전 사업에 기부됩니다.
All proceeds from the sale of books and merchandise from the exhibit will be
donated to the Oreum Conservation Project.
