Through packaging elements that express elegance without excessive embellishment, we designed the packaging to convey a sincere wish for good fortune with the utmost respect. By incorporating traditional knotting techniques reminiscent of Hanbok ties—both in the materials and wrapping methods—we allowed customers to experience a sense of cultural tradition.
Concept
First, we used Sulwhasoo’s signature colors, pumpkin and dark brown, to help customers clearly recognize the brand’s philosophy and identity. For customers seeking packaging for special occasions such as weddings or traditional holidays, we developed wrapping materials based on Sulwhasoo’s five signature colors, using distinctive wrapping methods designed to leave a lasting impression.
To thoughtfully enhance the gift recipient’s experience, we carefully considered the box composition. A fragrant card is placed inside, subtly scenting the packaging material, while a floral-patterned openwork cover—used in parts of the flagship store—adds a touch of respect and elegance.
