HERA is a contemporary Seoul beauty brand that spreads Korean beauty and values to the world with its HERE. NOW. MYSELF brand, which defines and creates the latest in beauty
by discovering the most authentic version of yourself.
In this project, we wanted to make the Hera brand stronger and simpler, and to make the gift packages with the same design language everywhere you encounter Hera products.
Concept
The HERA gift packaging features a simple and bold logo set in a high-contrast black and white palette to immediately communicate the brand’s
confident spirit. From a sustainability perspective, the packaging is uncoated and minimally processed to ensure it can be easily recycled.
Skincare Gift Packaging
The new skincare gift packaging moves away from the previous approach, where different products had
different looks, in order to create a single, unified brand image. For the premium Signia line, gold
accents are used to convey a sense of luxury while still adhering to the unified design language.
Brand Gift Packaging
This collection includes all brand gift packaging components used for gift wrapping in department stores.
From gift boxes and special lip packaging to shopping bags and wrapping paper, the design prominently features HERA’s signature black.
Subtle symbol patterns and ribbon details are used to express HERA’s delicate yet chic sensibility.
This is the key visual for the Gift Zone, where HERA’s brand packaging is showcased.
In this zone, a soft color palette is used for the background to ensure the brand’s identity is presented clearly and elegantly.
Kakaotalk Gift Packaging
This is a signature package designed exclusively for the KakaoTalk Gifting channel, created to convey the heart of the sender.
The design was developed with the goal of strengthening HERA’s luxury brand image through a modular approach to content,
thumbnails, packaging, and product detail pages, all of which highlight HERA’s signature look.
To improve the previously disjointed imagery on the HERA KakaoTalk Gifting page, we designed a new, consistent packaging and thumbnail system.
We calculated the ideal specifications based on various product combinations and proposed two standard package sizes.
By applying a signature KakaoTalk-exclusive ribbon, we planned a system that would provide customers with a consistent and elevated brand experience.
We focused on the act of unwrapping, designing the packaging to feel like a true gift box, creating a moment where the sender’s sentiment is passed to the recipient.
Upon opening the box, the recipient is greeted with the message “HERE FOR YOU.”
It’s a KakaoTalk-exclusive package from HERA that conveys heartfelt emotion through the unboxing experience itself, eliminating the need for a separate gift card.
In line with the renewal of the KakaoTalk-exclusive Nude Stain, we also designed dedicated packaging for the product.
To match Nude Stain’s unique character, the design evokes a sheer, diffused, watercolor-like mood.
While the overall look aligns with the regular gift packaging, we added a black ribbon as a special accent.
Furthermore, we considered sustainability by making the packaging 100% recyclable/reusable
and using a bio-PET material that contains 30% sugarcane-derived ingredients.
