The Immersion of the scent
The coloration of the greenery-inspired bath bomb was remarkably impressive as it dispersed upon contact with water. It unfolded a spectrum of delicate and diverse green hues, from soft emerald green to bluish green, to the vibrant greens that make up a lively forest. The cool carbonated bubbles mingled to evoke the appearance of a small universe created by a mysterious forest. Inspired by such imaginative stimuli, I sought to capture the serene scene of a forest that unfolds while deeply immersed in the scent of PUZZLE WOOD, on the border between reality and the unreal -
as the main mood. In practice, since this is a product with a high scent dispersion when used, especially in a warm bath, the intent was to convey the fleeting moment of encountering the fragrance. Like the uniqueness felt from the product’s distinctive pattern, it aimed to embody the unique brand atmosphere of PUZZLE WOOD.
현실과 비현실, 그 어딘가의 경계에서 향의 블루밍이 그려내는 고요의 숲 : 향의 몰입감
물에 닿아 퍼져나오는 그리너리한 베쓰밤의 색감이 무척이나 인상적이었다. 연한 에메랄드빛 그린에서부터 블루이쉬한 그린, 싱그러운 숲속을 이루는 다채롭고 활력있는 그린 등 섬세하고 다양한 색감들이 펼쳐졌고, 청량한 탄산 거품이 한데 어우러져 마치 미지의 숲이 만들어낸 작은 우주의 모습이 떠오르기도하였다. 이러한 상상어린 자극이 모티프가 되었고, 현실과 비현실, 그 어딘가의 경계에서 퍼즐우드 향에 푹 빠져들며 펼쳐지는 고요한 숲의 장면을 메인 무드로 담아내보고자 하였다. 실제로 사용했을 때 부향률이 높은 제품이다보니, 특히 따듯한 온기가 있는 욕조 속에서 향과 만난 찰나의 순간을 표현하면서 제품 겉표면의 독특한 패턴에서 느껴지는 개성처럼, 퍼즐우드만의 독특한 브랜드 분위기를 품고자 하였다.
The Imaginary tales and scent carried by
the wind from deep within the forest-
Attentive care was taken to subtly encapsulate the
scent that becomes richer as it permeates the warm
ambiance, focusing on the natural textures of the
colors. This was also to evoke the (green) scent profile
and to present the PUZZLE WOOD Vegan Bath Bomb’s
inherent, ethereal, and dreamlike color appeal in an
unaffected, non-artificial manner.

또한 (그린) 향조가 연상되고, 퍼즐우드 비건 베쓰밤만의
영롱하고 몽환적인 본연의 색상 매력을 인공적이지 않게
보이기 위해서였다.

회화적 터치를 강조한 아트웍 위로 쉼의 메세지를 전하는 세리프 폰트가 강조된 패키지에서도 느껴지듯, 베쓰밤 제품 패턴, 색상에서부터 패키지에까지
퍼즐우드가 추구하는 자연적 영감들이 고스란히 담겨있다. 제품컷의 경우, 퍼즐우드의 시그니처 딥그린 무드가 짙게 느껴지고, 패키지의 컬러, 질감과 어우러져 자연스럽게
베쓰밤을 돋보이기 위해서였다. 이를 위해 스타일링 오브제를 직접 제작하였다. 이 오브제는 다소 무게감있는 딥그린을 무대로, 묘한 경계에 존재하는 고요한 숲으로부터
날려온 잎사귀들이다. 자연 그대로의 잎은 아니면서도, 자연적이고 따듯한 질감을 지닌 잎사귀를 제작하기 위해 흙으로 만든
특수 종이를 활용하였다. 색상이 잘 물들고 독특한 질감이 표현되었다. 흙으로 만들어진 재질이기에 다시 흙으로 돌아갈 수 있는 것이었고, 퍼즐우드가 지지하는 환경에 이로운 생각을 실천하는 것이기도 하였다.
