이번 전시는 아모레퍼시픽 창업자 서성환 선대회장의 탄생 100주년을 맞이하여 기획되었으며, 사람과 세상을 아름답게 만들고자 한 그의 꿈의 여정을 살펴보고자 한다.
This exhibition commemorates the 100-year anniversary of his birth. It also explore his journey as the founfer of Amorepacific and his dream to make the world beautiful while nurturing the beauty of huma life.
Concept
"제일 큰 화사는 아니지만, 가장 아름다운 회사를 만들고 싶다." 던 청년 서성환, 그의 담대한 도전과 집념으로 일구어 간 아름다운 이야기를 통해 이 전시를 보는 많은 사람들에게 그가 던지는 메세지와 질문이 오늘을 살아가는 우리에게 각자 품고 있는 '나의 꿈과 세계'를 잠시마나 들여다볼 수 있는 영감과 울임을 줄 수 있기를 기대한다.
"I dreamt of growing a company where beauty is our goal, not to be the biggest." said a young Sungwhan Suh, a consummate leader who always reached for stars. we hope the messages and questions he leaves us with throughout the exhibition will inspire and resonate with your own freams and the world we live in today.
전시의 첫번째 공간은 현재 아모레퍼시픽의 씨앗이 된 서성환 선대 회장
님의 히스토리 담겨있는 곳으로, 1950년대 부터 1980년대까지 거의 주
된 업적을 간략히 소개한다.
The first section is the story of founder Sungwhan Suh, the
foundation of what Aamorepacific is today. It briefy introduces his
major achievements from the 1950s to the 1980s.
본 전시의 메인 공간인 영상 상영관에서는 서성환 100년을 기념하여 제작된 약 25분 길이의 회고 영상 "이
제 우리의 바다는 태평양보다 넓다." 를 감상할 수 있다. 영상은 장원과 함께 근무하고 인연을 맺었던 원로
들의 인터뷰로 구성되어 있으며, 아름다운 세상을 향한 장원의 꿈과 담대한 도전을 담았다.
그들의 회고는 화장품 산업과 녹차 산업에 평생을 바친 그의 집념에 다시금 생명을 불어넣는다.
The main space features a 25-minute retrospective called "Now our sea is wider than the
Pacific,"which celebrates the 100th anniversary of Sungwhan Suh's birth. The flim portarys his dream
of a more beautiful world and his bold endeavors to bring that dream to fruition. It is filled with
recollections of his condedicated himself to building the cosmetics business and developing Korea's
green rea industry.
끝으로 청년 시절 서성환이 현재를 살아가는 우리에게 던지는 질문에 답해볼 수 있는 공간이 준비되어 있다.
