Summary
Inspired by the amusements of the 80s and 90s and the glamor, fun, and fantasy of amusement parks, the collection aims to express the joy of chance, luck, and spontaneity in the spirit of the holidays. The collection is based on the motif of dice, which evokes memories of analog toys, and features improvisational and unpredictable color combinations and developments. The curiosity and excitement of wondering which side of the dice will come up when thrown create a retro and mysterious fantasy atmosphere. Retro materials and motifs are used in the design to create a more fairy-tale, fantasy world atmosphere.
Concept
In collaboration with Annie Atkins, who led the graphic design for *The Grand Budapest Hotel*, the package design was developed to enhance the retro atmosphere while appealing to contemporary customers. The design retains Annie’s signature hand-drawn typography and color palette, while incorporating Hera’s signature holiday-season glamour. This collection introduces a velvet-textured material for the first time, offering a unique tactile experience in addition to its graphic elements. The material’s luster, which changes with the viewing angle, conveys elegance and classic charm. Additionally, the lipstick adorned with tassels incorporates one of this year’s trendiest holiday elements, making it a fashionable accessory.
