New Creatives Using Discarded Packages
버려진 패키지를 활용한 새로운 크리에이티브
AMOREPACIFICMay 17, 2024
Summary
At our package mass production site, unused waste paper amounts to approximately 15% of
total production generated every year. This is a paper that is discarded before it can
be used due to issues such as printing deviation or contamination during the mass production
process. Beautiful trash created through the hands of many people. Can we use these as creative
materials again? This project began with the question:
Concept
As one method of utilizing discarded paper, we decided to try the collage technique.
The process of cutting and pasting paper to recombine it seemed fun.
The main materials, discarded packages from our company,
were provided through collaboration with partner companies and departments.
One of the most commonly used paper materials in our company is Deadlong.
Since we produce many high-performance products,
we use Deadlong to give a metallic texture that conveys a clinical and premium impression.
Among the packages we received, there were many Deadlong materials.
We thought it would be interesting to create various key shapes using the metallic-feeling paper.
Keys come in various shapes, and since barcodes are essential components of packaging,
we thought it would be interesting to incorporate the tooth-like parts of the keys into the design.
We actually cut and pasted the packages to complete the key shapes and used generative AI to
develop additional graphic motifs. We created prompts such as “Silver,” “Bold,” “Decorative,” and developed them.
