Summary
Mise-en-scène has launched the Floral Boutique Perfume Shampoo and Treatment, a perfume hair care line that captures two scents of
fragrant fresh flowers as if one has stepped into a flower shop. The product design interprets the characteristics of the product with
the aesthetic sense unique to Mise-en-scène, a hair fashion brand, by utilizing real images prominently in consideration of the
sales channels and brand, to immediately convey the scent.
Background
The Mise en Scène Floral Boutique Perfume Line was launched as part of a portfolio reorganization to strengthen the brand’s presence in the offline low-priced market.
Accordingly, it was essential to understand the offline shelf environment across major retail channels and provide ample product information to encourage customers’ independent selection.
When planning the Floral Boutique line, the brand proposed a strategy that balances affordability with premium value — combining luxurious fragrances and modern, refined design that reflects the tastes of contemporary consumers.
The design was developed based on a shared understanding of the brand’s overall strategy and direction.
Concept
The Floral Boutique line evokes the freshness of flowers that fill the air the moment you step into a 24-hour flower shop.
The name “Floral Boutique” and the concept of bringing the scent of fresh flowers into everyday spaces naturally recall the experience of purchasing a bouquet.
We hoped that buying a Mise en Scène Floral Boutique product would bring the same emotional satisfaction as visiting a flower shop and choosing flowers for a special occasion.
To align with the brand’s direction, we refined this concept to convey the pleasant emotions and beauty of such moments through design.
Graphic Design

Since ease of self-selection was a key objective, we needed to actively utilize realistic imagery to communicate each fragrance while maintaining a premium look consistent with Mise en Scène’s refined hair-fashion aesthetic.
To achieve this, we established a graphic concept that connects real floral imagery with the product itself.
The design, inspired by a flower boutique and bouquet, incorporates details from bouquet wrapping, flower shop materials, and cards as graphic elements — expanding the visual language beyond the photographic image area on the front.
We combined these real images with premium details such as the uniquely shaped label container and ribbon-like graphics reminiscent of hand-tied bouquets, evoking the modern flower shop atmosphere.
To elevate overall quality, we used glossy ABL tubes and applied post-printing techniques to overcome the material and cost limitations of packaging.
Visual
Inspired by the floral boutique concept, our goal was to create visuals that fully immerse viewers in the Mise en Scène Floral Boutique experience — capturing the florist’s meticulous craftsmanship, the product’s unique application techniques, and the moment one steps into the boutique.
Despite limitations in time, space, and budget for set design and props, we overcame these challenges by combining photography with generative AI assets created through Midjourney.
We generated the background of Mise en Scène Floral Boutique using AI, positioned the products within the composition, adjusted lighting to match, photographed them, and completed the visuals through detailed Photoshop compositing.
